OUR STORY
A career in archaeology took me far from home for many years. When the chance to work in a hybrid role arose, my beloved Maya—a husky-wolf-shepherd mix—and I returned to London, ON, to embark on a new chapter. I quickly realized how much I had missed the bounty of southwest Ontario, with its incredible food and vibrant local artisanal products. Maya also adored our trips to farmers' markets and restaurants, where she enjoyed meeting new friends on sunny patios. Sadly, after 14.5 years together, my sweet Maya crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022.
Creating healthy dog treats holds a special place in my heart. I baked "cookies" for Maya and many of her furry friends throughout her life. In her loving memory, Maya’s Dog Cookies opened as a market-based artisan barkery in early 2023. Committed to sustainability and supporting community, we source our ingredients from a local mill, as well as nearby markets and farms, ensuring our dog biscuits are as fresh as they are ethical. We hope your pup enjoys our biscuits as much as we love baking them for you!
